The Ohio State football team is at a crossroads this season. They are geared up from a roster standpoint to win a national championship. In order for them to do that, they have to have good coaching to go along with it. That's why brought in some new coaches in the offseason.

One position coach they decided to leave alone is Justin Frye. This will be his third season as the offensive line coach for the Buckeyes. In his first two seasons, the offensive line struggled mightily in the biggest games of the season. That was true in both the run and the pass game.

Frye also has yet to bring in a stellar offensive line recruit. He hasn't landed a single five-star prospect to this point, something that would certainly help the team's performance issues. The offensive line also doesn't have much depth on it at the moment.

So what does that mean for Frye's future? Will he have one after this season? His new boss is Chip Kelly, who was his old boss at UCLA. Those offensive lines were very good. Can Kelly bring something out of Frye that Ryan Day couldn't do alone? Frye better hope that's the case.

If there is another year of subpar offensive line play to go along with middling recruiting, Frye could be on his way out. On the flip side, if the offensive line turns into a strength, he could buy himself another two or three years of job security. This is a pivotal year for him,

I wish I knew how things are going to turn out. The truth is, the offensive line is the weakest unit on the team heading into this season. Bringing in Seth McLaughlin from Alabama will help that, but I'm not sure how much.
