The Ohio State football program has built its success on recruiting. They don't just recruit the state of Ohio or the Midwest well. They recruit nationwide, grabbing the best players from around the entire country. Their national reach is what makes them so dangerous.

As of right now, the Buckeyes have the second-best recruiting class in the country. They also have the most five-star commits of any program in the country. The only reason why they aren't at number one right now is that the only have 13 commits so far for the class. That number is going to go up.

So we know how well Ohio State is doing. How far ahead are they of the rest of the Big Ten Conference? The second-best Big Ten team is USC at 5. The next highest Big Ten team in the recruiting rankings is Penn State at nine. In fact, those are the only three Big Ten programs in the top ten at the moment.

Wisconsin is 18th and Oregon is 21st. Rutgers is 30th. Those are the only programs in the top 30. If you look at the rest of the Big Ten, the Ohio State football program has as many five-star recruits as the rest of the conference combined. That's some pretty strong recruiting if you ask me.

The Buckeyes are looking to add a couple of more five-star recruits as well. At worst, this will be a top-three class nationally. Where does Michigan stand in the rankings, you might ask? Ohio State is still kicking their butt on that front, as they sit at just 36th.

Ohio State needs to turn these recruiting wins into actual wins on the field. This season is one that they will be going all-in on. Winning a national championship this season is their goal. Anything less will be a failure.
