The Ohio State football team has had plenty of players appear on preseason award watchlists this season. That makes sense considering they are the second-ranked team in the country. They should have one of the most talented rosters in the country with a ranking that high.

Four more Ohio State Buckeyes were named to a preseason award watchlist on Thursday. The Lombardi Award is given to the best lineman in the country or linebacker who stands within five feet of the line of scrimmage. Four Buckeyes are on that preseason list.

Most of the nominees are on the defensive side of the ball for this award, which makes sense when you see how good the roster is on that side of the ball for the Buckeyes. The one who is on the offensive side of the ball is Ohio State's best offensive lineman.

Donovan Jackson is one of the nominees. He's Ohio State's best offensive lineman and is returning to start at left guard again. He is probably the only offensive lineman who can truly be counted on this season to be solid throughout the entire year.

J.T. Tuimoloau is also a nominee. He is one of the key players on the defensive line and is actually the one who could be the most dominant player on the defensive line when he plays his best. His Penn State game from 2022 is an all-time great Buckeye performance.

Jack Sawyer is also on the watchlist. Sawyer is one of the players from the 2021 recruiting class who wanted to come back to beat Michigan and win a national championship. He's one of the best players on the entire team as well.

The final Ohio State football player on the watchlist is Tyleik Williams. Williams is a defensive tackle who always seems to be around the ball and making plays. He's a great player to have in the middle. The Buckeyes have a loaded defensive line this year.

We'll see what happens when the season ends if one of these guys can win the award.
