Former Ohio State football player signs his rookie deal

Former Ohio State football player Marvin Harrison Jr. has had a different stat to his NFL career than most rookies. He skipped the Combine for the most part and didn't do any of the workout portions of it. He decided to stay away and train for his rookie season instead.
Since then, a great deal has happened. He still hasn't signed his paperwork for Fanatics for his jersey to be sold or to be in the new Madden game. In fact, things have been taken a step further on that front. Fanatics has actually decided to sue Harrison Jr. for breach of contract.
On Thursday though, the former Ohio State football player became an official member of the Arizona Cardinals. He signed his rookie contract. It's a four-year deal worth $35.37 million and has a $22.5 million signing bonus. There is also of course a fifth-year option as well. That contract now allows his jersey to be sold.
This is a good first step for Harrison Jr. Now he will be on the field for all of the Cardinal's team activities in the Summer and in the Fall. He's expected to be one of the best players on the field for Arizona even as a rookie, so he needs as few distractions as possible.
Now, Harrison Jr. needs to just worry about the lawsuit and see if he can get that figured out as soon as possible. That way, there are no distractions at all before the season. He can just work on getting some chemistry with Kyler Murray and the rest of the offense.
The former Buckeye is one of the most talented players in the entire draft. I think he's going to be an All-Pro receiver at some point. He just needs to focus a little more on football than some of the ancillary stuff. He's going to make plenty of money if he plays as well as he's capable of.
