The Ohio State football program has helped players get rich all across the league. Several Buckeyes have signed massive contracts with various teams. Joey Bosa was the highest-paid defensive player in the league at one point. Ezekiel Elliot was the highest-paid running back at one point too.

It's quite simple; if you want to get paid, go to Ohio State. The Buckeyes clearly do a great job of developing talent and that talent helps these guys make a lot of money. Another Buckeye just signed an extension to help him stay with the team that drafted him.

Left tackle Taylor Decker was a first-round pick of the Detroit Lions back in 2016. He's one of the longest-tenured players on the team and has been through the rebuild. When he was first on the team, they stunk. Now, they're a Super Bowl contender. He also just got paid yet again.

Decker has signed a three-year $60 million extension to stay in Detroit. With that contract, that gives him $140 million in total career earnings. He's 31 now, so this contract could end up being the final one he signs. He doesn't have many years left to play football.

This is certainly a contract that Decker deserves. He's been a very reliable player as well. In the eight years he's played for the Lions, he has only missed 18 games. As a left tackle, he has to be out there to protect the quarterback's blindside. His teammates also love him.

The Lions are one of the best teams in the NFC. After making the NFC Championship Game, they have their sights set on making that final step. Locking up Decker for the future was a priority for them. Now, he's going to be a Lion for life.
