1. John Havlicek

The Ohio State basketball player with the best NBA career is John Havlicek. Havlicek was another Ohio guy who was born and raised in Ohio, growing up in Martins Ferry. He would play for Ohio State and be a part of that 1960 national championship season.

Havlicek played for one team his entire 16-year career. He played for the Boston Celtics and was an icon for a team that won eight championships while he was there. That's by far the most of any former Buckeye basketball player. He had a lot of individual accolades as well.

In his 16 seasons, Havlicek was a 13-time All-Star and made the All-NBA team 11 times. He made First-team All-NBA seven times and made Second-team All-NBA four times. Not only that, but he made the All-Defense team eight times too. He made First-team All-Defense five times and Second-team three times.

Hondo was named to the 75 Greatest NBA Players list as well and is a member of the College Basketball Hall of Fame and the Basketball Hall of Fame. Today he remains one of the most famous players for one of the most famous NBA franchises.
