The Ohio State football team has a loaded wide receiver room. It might be the most talented position room in the country. There are five-star recruits all over that room for the Buckeyes. Playing time is going to be hard to come by for those guys because of all that talent.

One player who is fighting for playing time is Brandon Inniss. Inniss was a big-time recruit in the 2023 class who didn't get a lot of time as a freshman. He was looking to compete for the third receiver spot this season and has looked pretty good so far this Spring. He shouldn't be forgotten.

Unfortunately, it looks like he's not going to be able to compete in the Spring Game. It looks like he has suffered an injury that now forces him to use a scooter to get around. We don't know the severity of the injury, but it doesn't look good. Whenever a scooter is involved, that can't be good.

The Buckeyes are playing in their Spring Game on Saturday. He was one of the guys who really could have benefitted from a strong performance. Now Jeremiah Smith has an opportunity to leap him on the depth chart and take some playing time away from him.

It's a shame to have any injuries at all, but it's really tough for Inniss. At least he suffered this at the end of Spring practice so he still got to show the coaches a lot of what he has improved on. He should be good to go for the Fall too as far as we can tell.

We hope for a speedy and full recovery for Inniss. He's a good player who still has a bright future ahead of him for the Ohio State football team. He just needs to get healthy first.
