3 teams the Ohio State football team would love to see kicked out of the Big Ten

The Ohio State football program is one of the most successful programs in the Big Ten. There are three teams that just don't belong in the conference though.

2. Maryland

Maryland was the other team that the Big Ten added in 2014 along with Rutgers. Again, this was supposed to give the Big Ten the Washington D.C. market. That really hasn't come to fruition either. They have been only slightly better than Rutgers in terms of success on the football field.

The ratings really haven't justified Maryland joining the Big Ten in any capacity. They were massively in debt when they joined the conference and haven't done a lot better financially since then either. The only value they bring for revenue sports is men's basketball.

On the football field, they have at least given the Buckeyes some scares over the years. In 2022, the Ohio State football team had a game that came down to the wire. The same thing happened for them in 2018 when they only beat the Terps by one point.

Maryland doesn't compete in football for Big Ten championships, nor do they create any upsets either. Typically, they are an easy win for the Ohio State football team, which is not a bad thing. Still, there are other programs out there that would bring more value to the Big Ten as a whole.

The final program on this list is one of the newer teams to join the Big Ten.
