3 reasons why the Ohio State football team will go back to dominating Michigan

The Ohio State football team has lost to Michigan in each of the last three years. Here are three reasons why the Buckeyes will go back to dominating them, starting this year.

3. Ohio State is continuing to kill Michigan on the recruiting trail

An advantage that the Ohio State football program has had for years over Michigan has been recruiting. The Buckeyes have had a better recruiting class over them for years. This goes back multiple head coaches too. Recruiting has been something Ohio State has always excelled in.

In fact, since 2010, the Buckeyes have had the better recruiting class every single year except twice. Those two years? Those were the transitions in head coaches. The first time was Luke Fickell to Urban Meyer. The second time was Urban Meyer to Ryan Day.

Every other year, Ohio State has dominated them. The same can be said for this year too. Ohio State has the second-best class in the whole country. Michigan has the worst class in the Big Ten. That's not going to change anytime soon for 2025 either. In fact, Ohio State could end up with the best class period.

One thing that Michigan was always able to do to make up for their bad recruiting was having elite coaching. They were able to coach up players who weren't as talented but could be just as effective as five-star recruits. They don't have that anymore, as stated above.

Without a pipeline of top-end talent in reserves and none in sight for the future, things look pretty grim for Michigan. I'm not saying they're going to lose five games or anything like that. But as far as beating the Ohio State football team again, that's going to be a lot harder.

For these reasons, Ohio State should be able to break their losing streak and start a pretty good winning streak again. Doing so would save Ryan Day's job and propel the Buckeyes into a sustained run of dominance.
