The Ohio State football program is setting up some visits now that spring practice has started. The Spring Game is in a couple of weeks, and that is when the majority of recruits will be visiting in Columbus. There are a few prospects who will be making visits prior to that, as well.
Some past Buckeyes have attended Ohio State due to their siblings also attending the school. That happened with the Bosas, the Hamiltons, and some other siblings. Right now, they are trying to add another younger sibling of a former Buckeye, and he's a great player.
The younger brother of elite former Buckeye receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will be visiting campus this weekend. Jett Harrison is one of the best receiver recruits in the country. In fact, he got a major update just a few days before he is scheduled to make his trip to Columbus.
Ohio State recruiting target Jett Harrison named top recruit in 2028 class
Harrison is now listed as the top recruit in the 2028 class, according to Rivals. The Buckeyes will be hosting him for a visit this weekend. If Harrison is anything like his older brother, than he will be the best receiver in college football by the time he gets to college.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are trying to land him as a recruit. They are the best school in the country at recruiting elite receivers and developing them. That is clearly evidenced by Jaxon Smith-Njigba signing a historic contract extension. It's clearly the best receivers in the country go to Ohio State.
Harrison will get to see the Buckeyes practice in the spring and show what Cortez Hankton is doing to help develop the receivers now that Brian Hartline is at USF. Recruits want to make sure that Hankton is going to be at the same level as Hartline, which is a hard path to follow.
Harrison is being pursued by other schools, including Oregon, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech.
