Tight end Max Klare only spent one season with Ohio State and Ryan Day, but it's safe to say he has fully embraced what being a Buckeye means. This week, the veteran tight end is in Indianapolis participating in the 2026 NFL Combine, hoping to raise his draft stock.
Ohio State receiver Carnell Tate makes his case to be the top WR drafted
At the same time, Klare is also winning over even more hearts in Columbus, while surely annoying even more people in Ann Arbor. How so? While being interviewed in Indy, the TE was asked about his favorite memory with Ohio State. His response is sure to make you smile:
Max Klare said his favorite moment with Ohio State was beating Michigan.

Ohio State TE Max Klare will never forget beating Michigan this past season
"Beating Michigan," Klare said with a smile on his face. "That was awesome. It's a big deal for us and it was fun to be a part of that."
Can you blame Klare for having that reaction? Entering that contest, Day and Ohio State were on a four-game losing streak to their rivals, with Michigan supporters reminding everyone of that fact quite consistently - even after Ohio State won the natty in the 2024 campaign.
However, this time around, Ohio State was able to get some sweet revenge on the Wolverines, posting a 27-9 victory. It was a complete and total domination, with Ohio State reminding Michigan why it was one of the best teams in the country last season. The win for the Buckeyes not only ended the losing streak, but it also made sure UM would watch the CFP from home.
As for Klare, he finished that win over Michigan with three receptions for 20 yards. On the season, the 6-5, 243-pounder recorded 43 receptions for 448 yards and two touchdowns. Klare started his career with Purdue, but his one fall with Ohio State helped get him ready for the next level.
He's not projected to be a first-round pick, but he's also hoping to prove to all the teams that pass on him that they're going to be making a mistake in doing so. Throughout his career, he'll no question have the Ohio State faithful in his corner. Michigan fans? Not so much.
