The Ohio State football team had one of the best starts possible against Grambling State on Saturday afternoon. Playing such a bad team was exactly what they needed after such a grueling opening game against the Texas Longhorns, winning that game just 14-7.
Julian Sayin was afforded the opportunity to open up the offense against the Tigers, something he wasn't able to do against the Longhorns. In fact, he started off the game with some nice touchdown passes, throwing three of them very quickly in the first half.
In fact, Sayin had the best start of anyone in Ohio State Buckeyes history. He broke a record that Will Howard set a year ago against Indiana, when the Hoosiers were a top-five team in the country.

Sayin started the game 16/16 for 290 yards and four touchdowns. It bettered Howard's start of 14/14 against the Hoosiers. He unfortunately broke that streak by throwing an interception in the endzone. That throw was a very babd decision, trying too late to throw it to Carnell Tate.
Even though he had that one mistake, the Buckeyes had to be pleased with how he started the game. He had the team up 28-0 very early in the first half. The offense looked much better than it did against Texas, which was expected because of the difference in the quality of opponents.
Sayin is going to be a really good player when he settles into the offense. He showed that against the Tiger, and he will be perhaps the best quarterback in the Big Ten by the time the season ends. This team is too talented around him for him not to be putting up some seriously good numbers.
The Buckeyes feel great about Sayin's future.
