The Ohio State football team had a few players enter the transfer portal once the regular season finished. Air Noland, Miles Walker, Gabe Powers, Kojo Antwi, and Jayden Ballard are just a few of the guys who entered the portal. Some of them have found homes, while others are still looking.

One player who entered the portal but is still on the roster is Devin Brown. Brown entered the portal but made it clear that he was staying with the Buckeyes until their College Football Playoff run was over. That leaves the Buckeyes with just three scholarship quarterbacks heading into next season.

Brown knew that he wasn't going to win the starting job next season, so he decided to enter the portal. He has been a great Buckeye, though, supporting the team every season he's been on campus. There is a leader in the clubhouse for his services for next season.

Ohio State football player Devein Brown is favored to land at Cal

According to Pete Nakos of ON3, the Cal Golden Bears are the team favored to land Brown at the moment. Brown is from out West, as he is a native of Arizona, so it makes sense for him to go back out there. It would be a good place for him to go if he does decide to end up there.

Brown certainly has talent. He was one of the top-rated quarterbacks in his recruiting class. The problem with Brown is that he just wasn't good enough to surpass any of the other quarterbacks on Ohio State's roster in the last few years. He fits in at a school like Cal much better.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are happy for Brown. He has been nothing but a great teammate. Everyone in Columbus wishes him the best moving forward, whether or not he ends up at Cal.
