For most of the last two years, Ohio State football coach Justin Frye has been under fire. His poor recruiting record over the last few years and his inability to develop offensive linemen have been some of the issues that fans have had with Frye in the last couple of years.

This year, he turned things around on the field. After losing two starting linemen, Frye was able to shuffle the correct combination of linemen to help them win a national championship. The two linemen he lost were All-Americans as well, so they weren't their worst offensive linemen.

The offensive line played a lot better following the Nebraska game. After that, they still played like one of the best units in the country. He is no longer on the hot seat in Columbus and has shown that he can develop guys. Now, he's getting looks from the NFL.

Ohio State football coach Justin Frye is getting an interview from the Chicago Bears

Frye's stock has gone high enough that he is getting interviews from the NFL for jobs. The Chicago Bears are interviewing Frye for their offensive line coaching position. Frye has shown that he can adapt on the fly and get a unit to come together when things get tough.

The Buckeyes would need to replace another assistant coach if Frye leaves. Jim Knowles has already left the Ohio State Buckeyes for Penn State. There is a chance that they could lose Chip Kelly to the NFL as well if he ends up actually taking interviews for NFL jobs.

When a team wins a national championship, teams typically have a lot of turnover on the coaching staff. Success breeds new opportunities for guys, and the Buckeyes are seeing that with their staff. They only have to replace one guy right now, but it could be more by the time the week is over.

Frye deserves to take a look around after the season he had this season. He showed that he is a good coach, even if he isn't the best recruiter. If he can develop guys, that can make up for some poor recruiting.
