Still riding high after the Ohio State Buckeyes were able to land the commitment of elite wide receiver prospect Kayden Dixon-Wyatt? You're not the only one. On Sunday, the 4-star wideout chose the Buckeyes over Oregon and many others.
Prior to that commitment, Ryan Day and Ohio State had the No. 6 2026 recruiting class in the country according to 247Sports. Yeah, that's no longer the case. With Dixon-Wyatt shutting things down in favor of Ohio State, the Buckeyes have now moved all the way up to No. 3 in the country, which is awesome news. With plenty of time left for this cycle, could OSU push for the No. 1 spot?

Ohio State fans continue to celebrate 4-star WR Kayden Dixon-Wyatt committing
Right after Dixon-Wyatt committed, he made things better by posting a photo of Brian Hartline smoking a cigar. This is of course a nod to the Ohio State OC and the awesome job he did in helping the Buckeyes land the speedster.
Dixon-Wyatt developed a close bond with Hartline throughout his process and the exact same can be said about 5-star wideout Chris Henry Jr. Henry and Dixon-Wyatt are standouts for Mater Dei High in California. Come 2026, they'll both be suiting up for Ohio State.
Talk about a great tag team duo. Thus far, Day and his coaching staff hold 12 known pledges for '26. There are plenty of other big-name targets high on Ohio State too, with the list including in-state linebacker Cincere Johnson. The hope is Johnson will commit in the near future as well.
All in all, things are going pretty darn solid for Ohio State these days. While the latest Jim Knowles interview with ESPN has plenty of people ticked off, don't let it take away from the fact that the Buckeyes are the reigning champs and that Day is absolutely crushing it out on the recruiting trail.
