The Ohio State football program is trying to figure out a way forward without perhaps its best recruiter. Brian Hartline is now in South Florida, so the Buckeyes need to replace his recruiting prowess. No one was able to bring in the number of five-star recruits year-after-year that he could.

Cortez Hankton is charged with leading the receiver room now. He is also the lead recruiter when it comes to bringing in high school talent at that position. Without Hartline on staff, some fans of the Buckeyes have been worried that the recruiting will slow down at the receiver spot.

Hankton has done his best to avoid that. Several recruits in the 2027 class are interested in the Ohio State Buckeyes. Right now, they already have a five-star receiver recruit in Jamier Brown. Now, another five-star has put the Buckeyes in his final five schools.

Kesean Bowman puts Ohio State football team in his final four schools

Five-star receiver Kesean Bowman has put Ohio State in his final five schools. Bowman has now decided that Ohio State, Miami, Alabama, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt are his final schools. Ohio State is the only northern school on his list, so they have to make a good impression.

Bowman is from Brentwood, TN, so the two Tennessee schools already have an advantage. Bowman stands at 6'1 and 174 pounds. He is a strong receiver who can make contested catches over the middle of the field. That's something Ohio State needs in its arsenal.

Bowman did take an unofficial visit to Columbus for the weekend of the Texas game a year ago. He was also previously committed to Oregon before deciding to de-commit in September. Now, Ohio State is getting a second shot at him.

The Buckeyes definitely want to get Bowman back on campus next season. If they can, Hankton has a chance to close a commitment from him.
