The wait is almost over. Soon enough, Ohio State and Michigan are going to face off and the expectation for a lot of people is that the Buckeyes are going to cruise to a win. The oddsmakers seem to agree, as Ohio State opened as a 12.5-point favorite.

College football fans' ultimate guide to 2025 rivalry week

Late last week, that line even moved up to 13.5 points, which had plenty of people talking. Once again, however, things have changed, but not in a good way for the Buckeyes. According to the FanDuel sportsbook, Ohio State has dropped to a 10.5-point favorite. A shift of three points with kickoff around the corner? Not ideal for the Ohio State faithful, though the good news is that Jeremiah Smith is going to be ready to rock for this one:

Jeremiah Smith Injury Update: Ohio State WR expected to play vs. Michigan

Having Smith return to take on Michigan is going to be massive for Julian Sayin and the rest of the Ohio State offense. Smith confirmed on Monday night that he's still a little banged up, but that he should be 'good to go' to take on the Wolverines.

Will the same be the case for Carnell Tate? That's what everyone is wondering, as it's clear as mud whether or not he's going to suit up. Tate missed the win over Purdue on the road and then he also did not play in the home finale against Rutgers.

When asked about things on Monday night, Day said things are being taken day-by-day, but he showed some optimism that both Smith and Tate will be out there making plays. We know Smith will play, but soon enough we should know what's going on with Tate as well.

Could the uncertainty surrounding Tate's health be the reason why the spread has shifted in the way it has? We don't want to assume anything, but that could be it. Regardless, Ohio State is still expected to post a win and do so in convincing fashion. Will the losing streak end this weekend in Ann Arbor? That's what everyone in Columbus is ready to see happen.
