If you're going to be telling family and friends at the dinner table you're thankful that Ohio State is going to take down Michigan this weekend and end the four-game losing streak, we admire the confidence. For others out there, the nerves might be at an all-time high, but Ryan Day is ready to do whatever is needed to make sure things get turned around.
Ohio State football flips another recruit before taking on Michigan
That includes making some changes that may not seem like a big deal, but trust us, they are. This includes how the Buckeyes are traveling to Ann Arbor? You bet. On Wednesday, Day dropped the update that instead of taking a bus from Columbus to Michigan, the team will be flying over instead.
This is something they do for all road games, so he doesn't want the routine to be changed. The bus route is something Ohio State hasn't done during this current losing streak, but Day and his staff are ready to mix things up:

Ohio State football is flying to Michigan this year rather than bus
"We keep saying this week has to be like the other weeks in terms of our preparation," Day said. "On the field, it means a lot different, but we have to keep that routine a routine. All these little things kind of add up over the week and then you look at this week and between Thanksgiving and driving on the bus, between the band on Sunday, you start adding these things and it's like wait a minute, that wasn't a normal week.
"I know the past four years, it hasn't worked. You have to look at these things and try to figure out how to make them better and what you've got to do to make sure you get the job done. This is just one little thing we wanted to get done to make sure it's as routine as possible."
Those are the words of a man who is sick and tired of losing to the Wolverines. As things stand, Michigan fans will always race to remind the Ohio State faithful that this rivalry game has been dominated by the Ann Arbor side of late. Four years in a row? It's got to end and it's got to end as soon as possible.
This game means a lot to the players, coaching staff and Ohio State community as a whole. Winning the National Championship last year was incredible, but losing to Michigan made things feel a little bit less complete.
That's what Day wants to avoid at all costs this season, as the No. 1 Buckeyes look to be in great shape to go back-to-back. Come Saturday, the pressure is going to be on for the reigning champs. Again, it may not seem like a huge change that Ohio State is flying over instead of bussing, but you never know - it could help this team be more relaxed and focused for what's to come.
