Ohio State has found a real one in linebacker CJ Hicks. The Dayton, Ohio, native is getting ready to enter his fourth season with the Buckeyes, and even though he may not get the most playing time, he didn't choose to enter the transfer portal after winning a National Championship with the Buckeyes.

Hicks joined the Bobby Carpenter Show for an interview, and when asked about why he chose to transfer around Columbus instead of testing his luck in the transfer portal, Hicks gave the answer that every college football coach wants to hear.

"The brotherhood," Hicks said. "It sounds cliche because everyone says that, but there is a group of guys in that locker room that you don't find everywhere else."

Being around a team full of guys that support each other and truly come together for one another can truly be what keeps a guy in the building. Not only does a team full of good guys do that, but also a team led by amazing coaches.

"There's not a lot of coaches like that in the country," Hicks said. "They care, but at the same point in time, they want you to be the best you can be; they want you to grow one percent better each day instead of just letting you go by because of who you are and what your name is."

That is some profound knowledge coming from a young college football player. To know what he has at Ohio State is something truly special. While not everyone may love Ohio State or think that the program is amazing, the players know what they are getting, and Hicks is giving a little bit of insight into that.

In today's day in age in college sports, everyone moves around so much almost every season, so to have a program where the guys want to stick around is something very special and very rare.
