There seems to be a little social media feud going on between Indiana and Alabama, and it has all started with Hoosiers defensive coordinator Bryant Haines. The Hoosiers put together one heck of a season and ended up winning it all in the end, completing a perfect season, hoisting the coveted College Football Playoff National Championship trophy.

Indiana has certainly been given its flowers as being one of the biggest program turnarounds, probably ever, but for Haines, that doesn't seem to be enough. Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson joined Ohio State's Caleb Downs' podcast "Downs 2 Business" and talked about the loss to the Hoosiers.

When asked if what Indiana did on the field when they beat the Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl was surprising, Simpson gave a bit of a backwards answer. He said while Indiana didn't do anything special on defense, basically the same thing every snap, they did it so well that it was effective.

Haines took this comment as a bit of an insult and called Simpson out when he reposted the message, calling what Simpson said 'adorable' and that Indiana simply exploited Bama's offense and didn't ever get caught off guard.

Ohio State great Matt Finkes weighs in on Indiana-Alabama social media feud

This feud seems to be spreading, and even an Ohio State great is weighing in. Matt Finkes, who played for the Buckeyes back in the 90s, reposted what Haines said on X (formerly known as Twitter), calling out the Indiana defensive coordinator.

Finkes called out Haines, saying it was a bad look what he said, because in all honesty, Simpson was complimenting Indiana on being so well coached. While Simpson didn't feel like the Hoosiers did anything different on defense throughout the game, being able to still be that dominant is a testament to the players and coaches, and that was what Simpson was getting at.

In all fairness, Finkes was right in calling out Haines, as the comment wasn't needed by the Indiana coach. Sometimes being the bigger person and not saying anything is the better option, and one that Haines should have taken.
