Ohio State football vs. Michigan weather forecast
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team has gotten lucky with the weather so far this season. Nothing has really affected the team in any sort of way. The Buckeyes have had most of their games under warm, calm conditions. It's allowed them to run their offense without too many issues.
This is the week of the season when the Ohio State offense needs to execute the most. Beating TTUN is the single most important game this year and possibly the most important of Ryan Day's career. This week would be a bad time for weather to become a factor.
Unfortunately for the Ohio State Buckeyes, that's exactly what's going to happen. The weather forecast is going to be very closely watched because of how cold and windy it's going to get. The weather is going to affect both teams in a big way.
Weather forecast for the Ohio State football vs Michigan game
According to the Weather Channel, it's going to be freezing for this game. This is going to be by far the coldest game that Ohio State has played this season. At kickoff, the temperature will be 26 degrees. The wind chill will be around 17 degrees. That's pretty freaking cold.
The wind will be a factor too. It will blow 7-12 mph and gust up to 20 mph. Not only does that affect the kicking game, but it also makes it even colder. When the air temperature is that cold, it's impossible to not be affected by it in some way. Both teams will be thinking about how cold they are.
Whichever team is able to navigate the cold and be mentally tougher will win the game. Day talked about the forecast during his press conference this week and mentioned that both teams have to deal with the conditions, so it doesn't matter. It's going to matter, but it's his job to make it matter more for TTUN than for his team.
