Ohio State football team lands four-star recruit in 2026 class
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team is focused on beating Michigan right now. Ryan Day mentioned that it's kind of hard to focus on anything other than The Game right now. Yet, recruiting continues to go on. They will be hosting a lot of recruits this weekend for the game.
While closing out the 2025 recruiting class is the priority, they have turned their attention more to the 2026 class in recent weeks. In fact, the Buckeyes have landed another 2026 recruit. This time, it's a four-star tight end from Jacksonville, Florida named Corbyn Fordham.
Fordham is a really good tight-end prospect. He actually picked the Ohio State Buckeyes over Georgia, Clemson, and Auburn. Those are some big-time programs that were vying for his services. He liked what the Buckeyes could offer, despite the fact that they don't use the tight ends a lot.

Looking at what Fordham brings to the table, Ohio State is getting a good prospect. He stands at 6'4 and 215 pounds and he has a great set of hands. He's someone that the Buckeyes can use in the red zone once he actually gets on campus. While he's not a great blocker, he's good enough.
Ohio State doesn't feature the tight end in the passing game as much as some other programs across the country. Still, this season we have seen Ohio State throw to them more. Chip Kelly's offense seems to be more tight end friendly than Day's offense was.
Perhaps that's why Fordham decided to come to Columbus. The Buckeyes can use someone like him. The 2026 class is starting to come together now. Fordham becomes the third member of the class. Expect that number to increase once Signing Day is over for the 2025 class.
