The Ohio State football program got to the top of the mountain last season and won a national championship. They were the first 12-team CFP champions, just as they were the first four-team CFP champions. Despite all that, they are tired of hearing trash talk from TTUN.
Ryan Day's biggest blemish is the fact that he has lost four straight to Michigan. It allowed one TTUN defensive end to spin a ridiculous tale about Ohio State national title not being real. Fans of TTUN have been spinning fantasies in their head all offseason, too.
Jeremiah Smith has decided that he will not lose to Michigan again in his career, and the rest of the Buckeyes on the roster certainly have the same thought. Ohio State has made it very clear that they want to shut up everyone involved with TTUN once and for all.
The Ohio State football team is determined to shut TTUN up once and for all
While repeating as national champions is the ultimate goal for the Ohio State Buckeyes, that's not the only goal that they have. They want to destroy TTUN in November to finally get them to shut up once and for all. Taking them down would finally allow them superiority that no one can talk themselves out of.
This year's game is in Ann Arbor, so it won't be easy for the Buckeyes to win that game. Michigan has a very easy schedule this season, but they still have a freshman starting quarterback. The Buckeyes have much more talent than they do. They just have to show the aggressiveness that they did during the CFP.
That aggressiveness on the offensive side of the ball will allow the Buckeyes to take down TTUN when the time comes. They aren't totally focused on that game yet, though. Texas comes to town Week 1, and that is their top priority.
Beating TTUN en route to back-to-back national championships would be the ultimate gift for Ohio State football fans. That would be the best-case scenario for the team if they can get that done, and that's what the players and coaches are planning on doing.
