There has been a lot of talk about the Ohio State football program not landing the top prospects in the state of Ohio. Some of the top prospects have decided to head elsewhere for their college experience. That doesn't mean that all of them have decided to do that, though.
Ohio State still has some commitments from the state of Ohio. Tyler Bowen got his first offensive line recruit when Maxwell Riley decided to commit. They also have four-star receiver recruit Jaeden Ricketts and four-star cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon. In fact, most of their class is from Ohio.
There will be more recruits from the state of Ohio who decide to choose Ohio State in the next few months. They have offered a lot of prospects from the state. In fact, one of those prospects is now predicted to choose the Ohio State Buckeyes in the near future.
The Ohio State football program is predicted to land four-star RB
The Buckeyes have landed a crystal ball prediction for Favour Akih, a four-star running back out of Delaware, Ohio. He plays for Rutherford B Hayes High School. Akih has other big-time programs who are interested in him, including Miami, USC, and Pittsburgh.
Akih stands at six feet tall and 190 pounds. He is someone who runs with a low center of gravity, which is something that the Buckeyes love from their backs. Akih just visited the Buckeyes last weekend, and clearly he liked what he saw if this prediction got logged.
The Buckeyes are going to pick and choose the recruits from the state of Ohio that they want. There is no five-star recruit from the state this year, which is unusual. They will go to other states to get that high-end talent. Still, there are plenty of good players in the state that they can get.
