The Ohio State football program has finally put together some momentum in the Transfer Portal after a horrible start. Monday saw them land five prospects from the portal, which is their single-highest number of players since the portal opened on January 2nd.
Ross Bjork has gotten plenty of blame for how poorly the Ohio State Buckeyes started this portal cycle. Losing a high volume of players in one offseason is tough to come back from. The offensive line still hasn't been addressed, and that was the biggest reason the Buckeyes lost the final two games this year.
A big-time solution to their offensive line problems just entered the portal. Jordan Seaton, who was a five-star recruit and the top tackle recruit in the 2024 recruiting class, has entered the Transfer Portal out of Colorado. Ohio State should do whatever it takes to bring him in.
The Ohio State football program should bring in Jordan Seaton
Seaton is now the best prospect available in the portal. He now has pretty much every college in the country looking to add him to their roster. There are rumors floating around that he has an asking price of $2.5 million for the 2026 season, which is an astronomical amount.
Yet, the Buckeyes should do everything they can to pay him to come to Columbus. He would be able to play left tackle, and Ohio State could slide Austin Siereveld to right tackle, assuming he comes back. That would completely solve the offensive line issues.
The Buckeyes have held their money close to the chest in the portal cycle. That is one of the big reasons why they weren't able to land Chaz Coleman from the portal. They should use the money that they saved to bring in Seaton. It would make the slow start in the offseason worth it.
A big-time solution to Ryan Day's biggest issue just came through the door. Day needs to get Bjork on the phone and tell him to help him get him on campus.
