It's very early in the 2026 recruiting cycle. That's part of the reason why the Ohio State football program has just four commits from that class right now. The 2025 cycle just wrapped up, so the Buckeyes are now turning their full attention to the next cycle.

There are a lot of talented players that the Buckeyes are looking at in the next cycle. They are hoping to have another top-five ranked class. In order to get it, they need to keep ahold of the top commitment that they have right now, although that looks good early.

That recruit is five-star receiver Chris Henry Jr. Henry Jr. has been locked in with the Buckeyes for quite a while, committing all the way back in July of 2023. Despite that early commitment, he hasn't wavered from Ohio State. He has decided to make some visits to other schools, though.

Ohio State football commit releases his list of schools he will visit

Henry Jr. is still committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes, but he will be taking official visits elsewhere. He will be visiting USC, Miami, and Oregon, in addition to Ohio State. He actually has all four visits scheduled already and will be making these visits in the late Spring and early Summer.

He'll first visit Miami on May 30th before heading to USC on June 6th. Following those visits, he'll be visiting Oregon on June 13th, with a visit to Columbus on June 20th, capping everything off. Those are the only four visits that he will make, and it makes sense that Ohio State is last.

The Buckeyes have been locked in with Henry Jr. for a long time. His sister is an Ohio State basketball commit for the 2025 class, too. Unless one of these schools blows him out of the water with a massive NIL deal, I don't see any reason why he wouldn't be in Columbus next year.

Henry Jr. would be another great receiver to join the Buckeyes. No one has more top receivers than the Buckeyes. Brian Hartline is the best at developing them, so why would they go anywhere else?
