The Ohio State football team seems like they are elevating their game every time they play. They have played, by far, their two best games of the season in the last two weeks. They smashed Oregon after destroying Tennessee. The Buckeyes took down the Ducks 41-21 in the Rose Bowl.
In this game, the best offensive player on the field was Jeremiah Smith. He finished with six catches for 187 yards and two touchdowns. Because of his efforts, he was named the Rose Bowl Offensive MVP. Cody Simon was the Defensive MVP after having 11 tackles and two sacks in the game.
Smith was the star of the postgame award ceremony, though. He was asked questions by Rece Davis. He mentioned several times that the job isn't done and the Buckeyes still have two more games to go. When asked bout how good he is personally, he had a great response.
Ohio State football player Jeremiah Smith says no one can stop him
When asked by Davis is there is anyone can stop him, Smith simply answered, "No". The Buckeyes made sure to target him early and often in this game. He's clearly the best player that the Ohio State Buckeyes have on their offense and he should get the ball as much as possible.
Smith is right, by the way. No one can stop him. Oregon, who was the consensus number-one team in the country, had no answer for him. He tore them up in a way that no one had at any point this season. He's not done tearing up secondaries, either. That was after he talked trash to them, too. Texas has their work cut out for them.
Smith is just a true freshman. He is only going to get better as time goes along. That's a scary thought for the rest of college football.
