Another week, another win. The Ohio State football team took down the Huskies of Washington 24-9 in their first road game of the year. They were able to win on the strength of their defense, which really showed its teeth when Washington got into the red zone.
The Ohio State Buckeyes still haven't allowed a red zone touchdown this season. That was one of their biggest strengths last season, and that has carried over to this year, too. The secondary didn't allow Demond Williams Jr. to do much when things mattered the most, and that includes Davison Igbinosun.
Igbinosun has been really good so far this year. He has been able to still be physical without being called for penalties. After being the most penalized defensive player in college football last season, he hasn't been called for a single one this season.
Ohio State cornerback Davison Igbinosun makes a fan's day following victory over Washington
After making some really good tackles in space and playing solid coverage in the win, Igbinosun decided to make a fan's day as he was leaving the field. He saw someone wearing his jersey and decided to run over to him and sign it. The clip of him doing that went viral.

It's cool of him to turn around and make an effort to actually sign his jersey after he had already started walking off the field. He's had a really good start to the season, so that makes it a little easier for him to do things like this because he's not frustrated with getting penalties called on him.
The Buckeyes are hoping that Igbinosun can keep this up and not get called for penalties in coverage. They need his physicality as a corner, especially against some of the better teams that they will end up playing in Big Ten play. He is part of the reason why this defensive system works so well.
It was nice for Ohio State to get its first road test out of the way. Now, they get to return home for a night game next weekend before things really start to ramp up.
