If Ohio State wants David Gabriel Georges in the backfield, they will have to fight some other top programs to get him.
Georges, one of the top running backs in the 2027 class, has Ohio State as one of the programs that is battling the hardest in his recruitment. He mentions the Buckeyes along with Tennessee and Georgia.

The other programs involved in Georges' recruitment are Oregon, Miami and Texas. The 6-foot, 205-pound prospect from Chattanooga, Tennessee, by way of Quebec, is expected to be in attendance Saturday for the Texas game.
Georges has been to Columbus before, when he took in a one-day prospect camp with the Buckeyes. He spoke highly of running backs coach Carlos Locklyn.

"I really think that he can teach me things and show me what type of coach he'd be at Ohio State," Georges said. "And he kind of showed me around, too. So that was great."
Another classic SEC vs. Big 10 recruiting battle?
No offense to Miami, but this looks like it'll be another recruiting battle between the top ten conferences. Obviously, Ohio State is playing at a bit of a locational disadvantage since Georges is located roughly in the middle between Tennessee and Georgia campuses, but with him being from Canada, there isn't that regional pull to play in the SEC.
The good news is that Georges will be on campus this weekend and the atmosphere is likely going to be something that he will remember.
It will also be worth monitoring what other visits Georges decides to take in the season. One can assume that the Tennessee-Georgia game on September 13 might be on his list.
Who might be the first to commit this weekend?
Don't be surprised if the Buckeyes land at least one commitment over the weekend. My early pick is in-state offensive tackle Kalel Johnson. It seems like just a matter of time before the 6-foot-6, 280-pound prospect from Cincinnati joins the 2027 Buckeye recruiting class.
Also, keep an eye on defensive line prospect Reinaldo Perez and safety Kaleb Elkins, both of whom are heavy leans to the Buckeyes and could pull the trigger Saturday.
