Ohio State is making sure its star players are at the forefront for the Heisman Trophy voters to see, just in case they aren't looking. With the Heisman race being up and down all season, with most of the early favorites now not even in the running, Ohio State is making sure to show who they think deserves to win it.

The football program has officially launched two campaigns for quarterback Julian Sayin and wide receiver Jeremiah Smith. Literally, there are now websites called WeSayinHeisman.com and JJ4Heisman.com that show the stats of both players and prove why they should be in contention for the prestigious award.

Both websites show where each player is in the national rankings and some of the best quotes on how amazing these players are from around the college football world.

Sayin is playing through an incredible first season as a starter as a redshirt freshman. He is 176-for-218 overall this season, giving him a completion percentage of 80.7% with 2,188 passing yards and 23 touchdowns. The impressive part of his stat line is that he takes care of the football, only having three interceptions this season.

Smith, on the other hand, came into the season as the best wide receiver in football, and everyone was watching him closely. While his numbers don't quite match where he was last season, Smith is still having a great year. The sophomore pass catcher has 55 catches for 725 yards and nine touchdowns.

Ohio State is putting Julian Sayin and Jeremiah Smith on a pedestal for the Heisman Trophy

It is clear that Ohio State is trying to make a case for both Sayin and Smith to win the trophy, but in reality, only one of them could win it. However, there is other competition in the mix for the award for best player in college football.

Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza is making a play for the prestigious award as well, with how great a season he is having. Mendoza currently has 2,124 passing yards and a 72.3% completion rate with 25 touchdown passes and four interceptions. However, he basically hasn't had to play in the fourth quarter of Indiana's last two games due to blowout wins.

It is going to be a tight competition for the Heisman Trophy this season, but Ohio State is making sure people see Sayin and Smith as the top two candidates.
