Ohio State football linked to elite WR to replace Carnell Tate and it's not Cam Coleman

This former Big Ten wide receiver could decide to stay within the conference.

Even if Ohio State does not win another National Championship this season, the Buckeyes are looking like they will send another hefty class to the NFL next season. Defensive players like Arvell Reese and Caleb Downs are looking like top 10 picks, but there is another Buckeye that could go pretty high as well.

Wide receiver Carnell Tate could very easily take his talents to the NFL next season, and if that is the case, Ohio State will need to get another pass catcher to pair with Jeremiah Smith. Technically, Smith could also decide to declare for the NFL Draft as well, but Tate just seems more likely.

When Ohio State was without both Tate and Smith this season due to injuries, it was clear that the Buckeyes needed a dynamic pass catcher. Even without Tate, opposing defenses were able to give Smith more attention, so having another star wide receiver to pair with Smith would be ideal for Ohio State.

Ryan Day should go all in for former Michigan State WR Nick Marsh

The Michigan State Spartans are going through yet another change this season with a new head coach, which usually means a mass exodus through the transfer portal. The Spartans struggled severely in Big Ten play, and with some of the talent they had, it felt like it was being wasted.

Spartans star wide receiver Nick Marsh announced a couple of weeks ago that he was intending to enter the transfer portal. In two seasons with Michigan State, Marsh caught exactly 100 passes for 1,311 yards and nine touchdowns. Not to say that Michigan State didn't have talent, but imagine what he could do with Julian Sayin as his quarterback.

Marsh is going to be rated as one of the top wide receivers in the transfer portal, and it would serve Rayn Day some good to put a lot of effort into luring the Michigan native to Ohio.
