The Ohio State football program has always had a very good home-field advantage. They have one of the largest stadiums in all of college football and one of the largest alumni bases. The old college football video games always did a good job of acknowledging that with their rankings.

College Football 25 did a good job of getting the correct ranking with the Buckeyes and how hard it is to play them in the Shoe. The new game that comes out in July has released its rankings for the hardest places to play in College Football 26. EA Sports has shown its respect to the Ohio State Buckeyes.

According to EA Sports' new ranking, the Shoe is the third-toughest place to play in the country. Only LSU and Penn State are tougher to play at.

Ohio State actually beat Penn State in Happy Valley last season, so it's not that tough of a stadium to win in. Of course, the Buckeyes also lost a home game to Michigan, so that's not exactly a great argument. Once a player grabs this game, they can quickly increase that ranking by playing with the Buckeyes.

The Buckeyes and their fans have earned that ranking. It's hard to argue that LSU isn't one of the hardest environments to win a game in, but there's an argument to be made that Ohio State and Penn State should swap spots. Also, the Big House is not a hard place to win.

Michigan doesn't have much of a home-field advantage because of how cavernous the building is. It doesn't hold acoustics well, so they don't have a lot of noise that doesn't go into good use. To see them in the top ten is surprising.
