Ohio State is set to take on the Texas Longhorns yet again this season, and while they may not be kicking off their seasons facing each other this year, it should still be an electric matchup. The Buckeyes and the Longhorns got their official game time, and it is one that Ohio State fans are raging about.

The game between Ohio State and Texas in Austin this season will kick off at 7:30 p.m. EST, a very different time from last year's matchup.

When this matchup was played last season, Ohio State wanted the game in The Shoe to be a night game. It would have been the perfect setting, the perfect way to kick off the season with a great matchup. However, it would have had to be on Sunday night, something the Buckeyes were clearly okay with.

Texas, on the other hand, was not so okay with this as they refused to allow the game to be moved to Sunday night, stating they didn't want to play on a short week for their next matchup, which, we might remind you, was San Jose State, just a tough matchup apparently for the Longhorns.

Because of Texas's refusal to move the game, that matchup was a Noon matchup, one of the worst slots in college football. It didn't matter in the end as Ohio State came out on top, but it was clear Texas was just scared to play a night game in The Shoe.

Now, Texas gets that night game at home against Ohio State, and Buckeyes fans are letting everyone hear how angry they are about it.

A night game in Austin has Ohio State fans raging on social media

That is apparently how the college football world works, when Texas wants something, and they are at home, they get it. However, when anyone else in college football wants something, it just doesn't happen.

The FOX Big Noon kickoff games have been tough for Ohio State, giving the Buckeyes a lot of earlier games, rather than nighttime matchups. Now, Ohio State will finally get the night game it has been wanting, but, of course, it is on the road.

Ohio State is getting what it wants in the end with a night game, but it won't be an easy one in Austin, but at least at night, it won't be as hot as it would have been during the day.

Every Ohio State fan is hoping that this game is a blood bath for Ohio State. The Longhorns want a night game against Ohio State, well then they can't cry if they get beat in the end.

A night game is a night game, the environment won't be an easy one, but the Buckeyes tend to play their best when under the big lights, hence why they wanted the night game in Columbus last season.

Yes, yes, they were actually, and now they want to play Ohio State in the dark this year. It doesn't make a lot of sense, but now the Buckeyes can go and take care of business in a prime time slot.
