The Ohio State basketball program was able to take down Iowa on Thursday afternoon. That win in the Big Ten Tournament likely punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament. Now, the Buckeyes have the opportunity to improve their seeding if they can keep winning.
Standing in their way of the semi-finals is TTUN. The Ohio State Buckeyes have already lost to the Wolverines twice this season. In one of them, they blew it in the second half. In the second matchup, the Buckeyes were blown out. In either case, they are 0-2 against TTUN this year.
Now, the Buckeyes get a third chance at beating their rivals. Michigan is the number-one seed in the Big Ten Tournament. Once Buckeye basketball legend has a bold prediction for how this game will play out, and he has some interesting reasons why he's predicting a win.
Ohio State legend Evan Turner predicts Buckeye upset over TTUN
The Buckeyes only have two retired numbers in Ohio State basketball history. One is Jerry Lucas, and now he has a statue on campus. The other is Evan Turner, who was the National Player of the Year in 2010 before becoming the second overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.
Turner believes his Buckeyes are going to be able to take down TTUN, and gave some interesting notes to back up his reasoning.
Hear me out…

I got the buckeyes defeating #TTUN for a multitude of reasons:
1. It’s always hard to beat a year 3x in a row
2. I think it’s prob best #TTUN saves their run for the NCAA tourney
3. tOSU is playing best ball in B1G
4. tOSU can really score
Some of Turner's reasoning is sound. It is certainly very difficult to beat the same team three times in one year, no matter what sport it is. Ohio State does know TTUN's tendencies. The Buckeyes are playing on a four-game win streak, but I would hardly say that means they're playing the best ball in the conference.
TTUN probably does save its best basketball for the NCAA Tournament, but Ohio State has struggled to score at times. However, Michigan has just two losses all season long. They lost to Wisconsin and Duke by a combined eight points. Ohio State has looked out of place at times against TTUN.
Upsets happen in March. Taking down TTUN would certainly improve Ohio State's seed to the point where they might be a seven seed. That would be great to see.
