Noted Ohio State hater thinks Indiana should be ranked over the Buckeyes

It's the least shocking thing for this guy to say.

The Ohio State football team has been the top-ranked team in the country since it took down Texas in the first game of the season. They haven't come close to losing a game since then, as the Longhorns are the only team to actually challenge them thus far. The Buckeyes might not have played the best schedule, but they are clearly the best team.

Those who are paid by ESPN would like you to think differently. While most aren't naive enough to try and argue that an SEC team should be at the top, some of them have started arguing that Indiana is better than Ohio State. At least, their resume is stronger.

Desmond Howard, the most notable Buckeye hater on ESPN, made that argument on Saturday morning. He refuses to give the Ohio State Buckeyes any credit for what they've done this season, despite the fact that they are undefeated and have the best defense in the country.

Desmond Howard believes the Ohio State football team isn't the best team in the country

While on College GameDay, Howard made the argument that Indiana is better than the Buckeyes solely off their victory at Oregon. That is certainly an impressive win, but the Hoosiers haven't played a dramatically tougher schedule than the Buckeyes have. They didn't play anyone in the non-conference portion of the schedule.

As part of Howard's argument, he asked if Ohio State's quarterback had been sacked yet, as if that's a bad thing. Why would it be a bad thing if Julian Sayin hadn't been sacked to this point in the season? Why wouldn't that be more of a credit to how good the offensive line has been?

This is par for the course for Howard. He has always been antagonistic towards Ohio State football fans ever since he got the gig on GameDay. That won't change as long as he's up there. He picked against Ohio State during the CFP last year every step of the way, too.
