The Ohio State football program won the national championship in 2024. That still feels really good to type. They were able to overcome a lot of diversity in order to do so, including another crushing loss to Michigan at the end of the regular season.

Ohio State then went on one of the best four-game runs in the history of college football. They took down Tennessee, Oregon, Texas, and Notre Dame en route to their national title. They were able to win that game because of a lot of great players, including a ton of seniors.

Will Howard led the offense and played great in his final collegiate season. So did TreVeyon Henderson, Emeka Egbuka, and Quinshon Judkins. All of them are invited to the NFL Combine at the end of the month. In fact, no team has more Combine invites than the Ohio State Buckeyes.

15 Ohio State football players are invited to the NFL Combine

The Buckeyes had 15 players who got invited to the NFL Combine. No program had more than them, which is a testament to how good this team was. They finally were able to play to their potential in the CFP, and that's what led to them winning a national title.

Donovan Jackson, Seth McLaughlin, and Josh Simmons were the other offensive players to get invites. It's unlikely that either McLaughlin or Simmons will do anything physical as they continue to rehab from their injuries, but they will be there to do some interviews with teams.

On defense, Jack Sawyer, J.T. Tuimoloau, Tyleik Williams, and Ty Hamilton all got invites. That's the entire starting defensive line. Other defensive players to get invited are Cody Simon, Denzel Burke, Jordan Hancock, and Lathan Ransom.

That's a very good list of 15 players who will be representing the Ohio State Buckeyes in Indianapolis. All of those players are expected to get drafted at some point. While there might not be a ton of first-round picks from Ohio State this year, they will still have a lot of guys taken in the second or third round.

The Buckeyes will be taking over the NFL next season.
