This is more than a Hail Mary offer.

We thought the recruitment of 5-star Ohio State commit Chris Henry Jr. was over. Don't tell that to DeSean Jackson, the new head coach over at Delaware State. Jackson is an NFL legend and his highlights are going to be shown for years to come.

However, he's got a lot of people talking with the half-court shot or Hail Mary he just tossed up on Wednesday night. While Henry has said he has fully shut down his recruitment and that he'll be signing with the Buckeyes in December, Jackson decided to put a later offer on the table seemingly out of nowhere:

DeSean Jackson and Delaware State offered 5-star Ohio State commit Chris Henry Jr.

With the greatest respect for Jackson and the Hornets, this shouldn't be anything to worry about. Henry was previously scheduled to take official visits to Miami, Oregon and others, but he indeed shut things down for the second time and told everyone he's locked in with the Buckeyes.

Jackson didn't get the memo and he's surely trying to sell Henry on the fact that he'd be able to coach him up and get him ready to follow in his NFL footsteps. Yeah, something like that of course would be intriguing, but competing for national titles with Ohio State is hard to pass up on - it's something Henry isn't rethinking either.

Ohio State's 2026 class is now ranked No. 3 in the country after wideout Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, a 4-star prospect, added his name to the verbals list last weekend. Dixon-Wyatt is also a standout at Mater Dei High along with Henry.

Those two playing together in college is going to be so much fun to watch and it will be taking place in Columbus too. Henry is one of the top wideouts in the country and Ohio State fans can't wait to see him make plays for Ryan Day. Sorry, DeSean, but you're going to have to watch Henry ball out in college on TV while he's donning a Buckeyes jersey. No chance he goes to Delaware State.
