Even though Ohio State has already moved on to game planning and preparing for its next matchup, which is Grambling State, Buckeye fans are still enjoying the sweet victory their team got over the Texas Longhorns. Ohio State was able to successfully shut down Arch Manning and the Longhorns to show them who the real best team in the country is.
Ohio State could have looked a little better on offense at times, but who really shone in this game was the defense. The Buckeyes had four stops that resulted in Texas turning the ball over on downs, but none bigger than the one on the one-yard line when Texas was about to punch it in. After running the ball on three straight plays, Texas decided to try another Manning run on the one-yard line, but the Buckeyes were able to stuff the Longhorns for a huge stop.
The video below shows a new angle of the stop and it makes it look even more impressive.

In the video, it looks like Ohio State was even able to stop almost the entire offensive line of Texas from advancing into the endzone, therefore not even allowing Manning to get anything on the run. This stop was huge for the Buckeyes as it kept Texas scoreless in the fourth quarter, and their possessions dwindled.
Ohio State did end up punting on its next drive and Texas was able to go down and score to make the game interesting at 14-7, but the defense came up in clutch once again.
The Buckeyes were able to stall Texas at midfield when Manning threw an incomplete pass on 2nd and 5. Then on 3rd and 5, Manning again was unable to connect with a receiver to force the fourth down call. Ohio State brought the house on fourth down, and even though Manning was somehow able to get a pass off while being tackled to the ground, the secondary was there to stop a conversion and seal the game for Ohio State.
