The Ohio State football program has had a nice run of gaining commitments in the last few weeks. They have jumped up to having the third-best recruiting class in the country for the 2026 class. They are up to double-digit commits so far, with still a lot of time left in the recruiting cycle.

With what the Buckeyes have already been doing prior to the Spring Game, they feel really good about what they can do once the Spring Game does get here. They are going to have a lot of recruits in the Shoe for what should be a great weekend of football.

Some of the best recruits in the country will be in Columbus this weekend for that game. That includes some five-star recruits that the Ohio State Buckeyes really want to land. One of those recruits is the best linebacker in the country, Tyler Atkinson.

Atkinson is listed as the top recruit out of the state of Georgia and the seventh-best recruit in the entire country. He has been to Columbus several times before, and he will be back there again this weekend. In fact, this will be the fifth time that he's visiting the Buckeyes.

While Atkinson is projected to head to Georgia right now, that doesn't mean that the Buckeyes can't change his mind. With how many other top prospects will be in Columbus with him this weekend, he could very well decide that he wants to play for the defending national champions.

Atkinson stands at 6'2 and 210 pounds. He is someone who can put on weight and still keep his speed. He's a very good blitzer. What makes him so attractive is the fact that he can fit into a wide variety of schemes, which Matt Patricia wants to play.

The Ohio State football team is getting a nice post-national championship bump in recruiting. They are hoping to keep that momentum going this weekend and into the summer when a lot of the best recruits will make a final decision.
