The Ohio State football program was one of the many programs victimized by the most organized cheating scandal in modern college football history. Under Jim Harbaugh, TTUN had Connor Stalions illegally scout teams, which caused Michigan to be punished in multiple ways.

Harbaugh was given a show-cause that will likely prohibit him from coaching in college football ever again. Sherrone Moore was given a suspension, as well. Moore's trouble didn't stop there, though. He had an inappropriate relationship with a staffer that caused him to be fired, too.

Fans of the Buckeyes have not been shy to call out Michigan AD Warde Manuel for not doing more to control his program. Now, it looks like his time leading the program could be up. After overseeing a football program embroiled in multiple scandals, Warde could be fired as soon as next week.

Warde Manuel could be fired as the AD of Michigan

According to multiple reports, TTUN will be releasing its full report on the investigation of the athletic department. The university will be making a final decision on Manuel next week. Usually, when reports like this come out, it's not good news for that person. It sure seems like Manuel is on his way out.

That would be good news for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Manuel has overseen multiple head football coaches who have been at the center of scandals that have affected Ohio State. Had Moore beaten the Buckeyes last November, there is a good chance he would still be the head coach.

That exact reason is why the athletic department has been under investigation by an independent firm. Meanwhile, Ohio State plays by the rules and is scandal-free. Ross Bjork would never let something like this happen on his watch, and that is why he is still employed.

Ohio State fans will be happy to be rid of Warde Manuel

If TTUN does part ways with Manuel, it will be a good thing for Ohio State fans. Getting rid of the AD who is okay with his programs cheating in order to win games would be greatly beneficial to Ohio state's chnaces of not just beating TTUN, but winning championships, as well.

Fans in Columbus are going to be extremely interested in seeing what comes out of the investigation. There will certainly be stuff in there that will show just how little integrity the athletic department of Michigan has. That has been known for decades amongst Ohio State fans.

Ohio State fans certainly wish this decision had been made before he was able to hire Dusty May. However, the Buckeyes had the opportunity to hire him before TTUN did. May could have won a national title in Columbus before heading to the NBA.

That doesn't matter. What does matter is that there could be someone new leading TTUN's athletic department. That could set them back a few years, especially once Kyle Whittingham decides to retire. He's not long for college football at his age, especially at a place like Michigan.
