Now that the dust has settled on the Ohio State football team's national championship, the seniors have moved their focus to the upcoming NFL Draft. The NFL Combine is less than a month away. A bunch of Buckeyes are starting to train for that event so they can raise their draft stock.

Even though they won the national championship, the Ohio State Buckeyes likely won't have any top-ten picks in this year's draft. They don't have any top-level guys who are draft-eligible this season. They will still likely have at least two first-round picks, though.

Ohio State has a lot of players who are going to be drafted, though. Almost all of the guys they have who are entering the draft will get selected. Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN specifically likes one Buckeye and calls him one of the most underrated draft prospects in the 2025 draft class.

Ohio State football player Cody Simon is listed as an underrated draft prospect by Mel Kiper Jr.

Mel Kiper Jr. loves Cody Simon. Simon was the Defensive MVP in the Rose Bowl and the National Championship Game. Kiper thinks that Simon is one of the most underrated players in this entire draft class. He loves the way that he played in this last season as a senior.

Simon had seven sacks this past season, which clearly helped his draft stocks. He showed that he can come free during blitzes and get to the quarterback. His ability to get to the QB and stop the run is something that a lot of teams love about him.

Kiper has him rated as his sixth-best inside linebacker on his big board right now. He thinks he could potentially be a third-round pick and a fourth-round pick at the absolute worst. He loves what he does on the field and the leadership that he shows for the whole team.

Simon had his best year as a Buckeye this season. He was one of the reasons why Ohio State's defense finished at the top of many statistical categories. Ohio State is going to miss him next season when he's gone.
