When Penn State came into the Shoe on Saturday afternoon, the Ohio State football team was determined to blow them out. The defense was frustrated with the fact that Jim Knowles decided to leave for a rival Big Ten team, and the offense wanted to put it on him.
That's exactly what the Ohio State Buckeyes did. They scored 38 points and threw the ball wherever they wanted to. Julian Sayin threw more touchdowns than incompletions in this game, throwing four of those while only throwing three incompletions. He threw for 316 yards.
Penn State fans and Ohio State fans alike took to social media to flame Jim Knowles for the defensive performance that the Nittany Lions put out against the Buckeyes. It was ugly for him in his return to the Shoe to add to a horrid year for Penn State.

After watching that drive, I am convinced Jim Knowles move to PSU was a plant by Ryan Day and OSU to make their path to the B1G title and CFP easier.

10 yard cushion, and 1 on 1 coverage of Jeremiah Smith all drive? The only coordinator in the country stupid enough to do such a…
Jim Knowles is clearly calling a game that gives him the highest chance of relocating back to Stillwater

The Buckeyes did whatever they wanted with the ball in the second half. After scoring just 17 points, they put it on by letting Sayin throw the ball deep. Jeremiah Smith had one of the best catches of the season, and Carnell Tate kept catching deep passes down the field.
Sayin now has a shot to win the Heisman Trophy with a performance like this. He showed that he is the best quarterback in the country with this performance. If Ohio State ends up beating Indiana in the Big Ten Championship, that will give him the best chance to prove he deserves it instead of Fernando Mendoza.
Knowles is already facing the ire of his fanbase, even though he's the highest-paid coordinator in college football. They are likely going to be stuck with him because of that contract, no matter who the new head coach ends up being.
