It seems like no more than four days can go by without Jeremiah Smith breaking Ohio State records, and we're loving it. After recently setting the new mark for most career Ohio State touchdowns, yards, and receptions, Smith can still make more personal history, but there's something else he's a bit more focused on: winning another national championship.

Following the dominant Ohio State win over Iowa, Smith made that more than clear. Yes, he wouldn't mind continuing to make a push for the Heisman, but Smith wants to win it all again and close out his career in style. With the way the Buckeyes are looking through the first five weeks of the season, it's not absurd for fans to start thinking about this as well:

Jeremiah Smith won't be satisfied until he helps Ohio State win another national championship

"Bring the team a national championship," Smith said when asked what's left for him to accomplish with Ohio State. "That's all I've been chasing since the start of fall camp. That's the goal of mine before I leave here, and I'm very committed to that."

It's hard to see those words from Jeremiah and not have even more love for the young man. We can spend the rest of this article talking about his loyalty to Ryan Day, as we all know several teams, including one that won't be mentioned * Cough Miami Cough *, were working overtime to get him to enter the transfer portal.

He stayed put, though, and after making some personal history, he's got making the fanbase happy with another natty at the top of his list before packing his bags for the NFL. Obviously, Smith also wants to take down TTUN one more time, as the Buckeyes and Day were able to get some sweet revenge on the Wolverines last season in Ann Arbor.

This time around, The Shoe is going to be packed for the late November dance, which Ohio State will hope will give them extra confidence before pushing for a Big Ten title - the memories of losing to Indiana last December remain fresh. After that, the focus will shift to the College Football Playoff, where rough memories also remain from the loss to Miami in '25.

That's serving as more than enough motivation for Smith and his teammates to end the season the right way and outside of a heartbreaking loss to No. 1 Texas, this team has looked sensational thus far this campaign. Now, it's time to kick things into overdrive with the heart of the Big Ten schedule on the way, but Smith and Co. are getting better with each game.

This year, Smith has recorded 44 receptions for 823 yards and nine touchdowns in five games. Come on, those stats are unreal, and it only adds to his Heisman hype. Not only that, but he's virtually a lock to be a Top 5 pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

Before walking across the stage to shake Roger Goodell's hand, Smith has unfinished business on his plate, with one more national championship being something he's ready to deliver for everyone in Ohio who keeps showing him love.
