Of course, he was going to do everything in his power to play next week. After missing Saturday's action vs. the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, all signs point to Ohio State Buckeyes superstar wide receiver Jeremiah Smith playing in the regular-season finale vs. the arch rival Michigan Wolverines. Smith got banged up in the UCLA Bruins game two weeks ago. With so much ahead of him, he sat out Week 13.
While there is a chance that Smith could have potentially not played vs. Michigan in Week 14 with a possible Big Ten Championship Game on the horizon, as well as a certain College Football Playoff run coming up, these two rivals have history. Michigan has had Ohio State's number throughout most of the Ryan Day era. Ohio State may have won the national title a season ago, but it also fell to Michigan.
Fortunately for everyone in Buckeye Nation, Smith's quote tweet of Zach Smith hints what he will do.

Smith may only be a true sophomore and is not yet draft-eligible. However, he has been arguably the best wide receiver in college football over the last two years combined. It helps having obvious NFL pedigree from his much older cousin in Las Vegas Raiders starting quarterback Geno Smith. Regardless, Smith knows that order has to be restored in Columbus by way of beating Michigan here.
If Ohio State beats Michigan, it will be the No. 1 ranked team heading into the Big Ten Championship.
Jeremiah Smith is fully expecting to play vs. the Michigan Wolverines
At this point in time, no team has punched its ticket to its respective conference championships. Every team with serious national title aspirations in the Power Four either has something to play for in Week 14, or at the very least bragging rights. All signs point to a Big Ten title bout between undefeated Ohio State and undefeated Indiana should they defeat Michigan and Purdue, respectively.
The big key here for the Buckeyes is not only do they want to stop the skid vs. Michigan, but keep in mind what Michigan's record is right now as well... The Wolverines are 9-2 (7-1). Their two losses are to USC in Big Ten play and to Oklahoma in the non-conference. With USC suffering a second conference loss to Oregon Saturday, a home win over Ohio State could get Michigan to Indianapolis.
To be totally honest, Ohio State is a massive favorite coming in. They are an 11.5-point road favorite. ESPN Analytics is giving Ohio State a 78.2-percentage chance of beating Michigan in The Big House, while the Wolverines are only getting a 21.8-percent shot at pulling off the home upset of Ohio State. This game is different, which is why nobody associated with the Ohio State program will take it lightly.
Smith should be a factor in the receiving game to help keep Ohio State's bid at perfection alive here.
