Week 3 ended up being so dang sweet for Ohio State stud Jeremiah Smith. Not only did the Buckeyes cruise to a 59-3 win over Kent State, but Smith is now the all-time leader in receiving yards for the Buckeyes, setting the new mark early on in this one. Think Jeremiah is satisfied there? Not at all.
While speaking to the media, Smith didn't hesitate in saying he's got two more Ohio State records on his mind before the season comes to an end. He wants to take down Chris Olave's all-time touchdowns records and also take down Emeka Egbuka's mark for receptions.
It won't be easy, but the fact that Smith isn't celebrating anything just yet is a reminder that he's different and that he wants to make sure he leaves a lasting legacy in Columbus:

Jeremiah Smith won't leave Ohio State until he breaks some more program records
"It means a lot to me," Smith also admitted. "I put a lot of work into it and I bring it every game and I am blessed."
Still, even though Smith topped Michael Jenkins' 2,898 yards, that doesn't mean he's not ready to keep his strong play going in a big way moving forward. Olave holds 35 touchdowns with Ohio State to his name, leaving Smith (29) six short of that. Egbuka posted 205 receptions in Columbus, which has Smith (184) behind him by only 21.
It's more than feasible for Smith to post a hat-trick of breaking records this season, which would of course be amazing to see. With that, he's also got team goals in mind. Before Week 1 got here, Smith made it more than clear he wants to take down Michigan again and he also wants to help the Buckeyes win another national title.
In order for that to happen, Ohio State will need to take everything week by week, especially after the brutal loss to Texas in Austin. Against Kent State, the Buckeyes barely broke a sweat and it posted a head-turning win. In the lopsided victory, Smith finished with five receptions for 85 yards.
On paper, it might seem like it was a quiet day at the office, but keep in mind that this was a complete and total blowout.
Smith will have more chances to keep turning heads once Big Ten play gets here. Come Week 4, Ohio State is getting ready to take on Illinois at The Shoe to get conference action going. Bret Bielema and his staff will do everything possible to slow down Smith, but that's of course much easier said than done. Smith will look to not only help Ohio State improve to 3-1, but also keep chipping away at Olave and Egbuka. It may not take long for Smith to break their respective records, too.
