Jeremiah Smith claps back at internet trolls who keep bashing him and Ohio State

When you play for a storied program like Ohio State, there are always going to be haters out there trying to bring you down. Stud receiver Jeremiah Smith is no stranger to this, but that doesn't mean he's going to just sit down and take things without being upset or annoyed. He made that much clear on social media not long after the Buckeyes wiped the floor with Ball State.

Smith is always one to let his play do the talking, but things reached a boiling point for him, which led to the Heisman contender taking to Instagram to clap back at people working to bring him down. Straight up, Smith isn't going to let internet trolls get away with disrespect that keeps coming his way.

"I get really bizzy (busy) idk (I don't know) who tf (who the f***) these people be playing wit(h) on these apps," he said.

Smith posted that message on his burner IG account, which is also followed by his main account. It's fair to assume that some of the outside noise started following Malachi Toney's monster game against Stanford to open the season.

Against the Cardinal, Toney was downright electric, hauling in 12 balls for 234 yards and three touchdowns. After that performance, with Miami winning 45-6, countless people were calling Toney the best receiver in the game, while bringing down Smith and the Buckeyes at the same time. It wasn't fair to the Ohio State standout at all.

So, how did Smith respond? By putting on a show himself in the 56-3 win over Ball State, finishing with eight receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown. Smith's day got started with a sensational 48-yard touchdown, making what should have been an incredibly difficult catch look pretty dang routine for him.

Seriously, Smith continues to remind us all he's not human. Posting a one-handed grab like that with a defensive back draped all over you should never look that easy. That's just the kind of player Smith is, though, and it once again proves that he's not only one of the best wideouts in the game, but one of the best players overall.

People seem to be quick to forget about that, which is a joke. Come Week 2 against Texas, Smith is going to have another golden opportunity to perform at a high level on the biggest of stages. The Longhorns are going to have their hands full trying to contain No. 4, which is of course way easier said than done. Few teams have been able to take him out of his game - when he and Julian Sayin are firing on all cylinders, good luck.

Of course, Smith is going to be a main focus for Arthur Smith in running his offense, and the speedster will be ready to deliver whenever his number is called. A monster showing could be on the way for Smith vs. Texas, and if he does ball out, then those who have disrespected him of late will need to sit down, and be quiet.
