The Ohio State football team has had a really good track record so far this season in terms of weather. Up to this point, the worst weather they've played in was last weekend against Purdue, and that was only because it was a bit chilly. Other than that, it has been picture-perfect for them.
Now, it's mid-November. The Buckeyes have been able to deal with everything that's been thrown at them. UCLA comes to town on Saturday night, and they have an upset on their mind. They are far less talented than what Ohio State brings to the table, but they might get some help.
Bad weather is the great equalizer when it comes to two teams playing each other that have a talent disparity. For once, the Buckeyes might have to deal with that this weekend. It actually might be a slop-fest, which is exactly what the Bruins are hoping for.
Ohio State football vs. UCLA weather forecast
According to the Weather Channel, there's a good chance the weather is going to be bad. The game will start out with a temperature of 60 degrees. It will only fall to 57 degrees by the time the game ends, so the temperature is not going to be an issue. The wind and the rain might, though.
Around the second quarter, there is a 30 percent chance of rain. That could make things much harder for Ohio State when it comes to executing the offense that they like to run. Wind will be another issue, as it will be blowing 10-15 mph sustained during the course of the game, and it will gust up to 31 mph.
The Ohio State Buckeyes should be able to win this game, even if the weather is bad. Still, this is the best-case scenario for what the Bruins would be hoping for heading into this one. Bad weather increases the chances of turnovers, which is in favor of UCLA.
Ryan Day is going to make sure that his team is ready for whatever weather is going to show up on Saturday night. This team will be focused and ready to go.
