So far this season, the Ohio State football team has gotten lucky when it comes to the weather that they have played in. Not only have they not had to play in any precipitation, but the temperatures they've played in have been very amenable, as well.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are a team that is built to play in bad weather because of their defense. They have the top defense in the country in terms of points allowed and total yards. Not only that, but the offense has shown very little signs of being able to be slowed down.
This week, the Buckeyes travel to West Lafayette to take on the Purdue Boilermakers. Purdue is one of the worst teams in the Big Ten, so they are probably hoping for some bad weather. Will the forecast give them what they want? Or will the Buckeyes get another good weekend of weather?
Weather forecast for Ohio State football vs. Purdue
According to the Weather Channel, the forecast is a little dicey for Saturday. The temperature will be 56 degrees when the game kicks off at 1 pm ET, and it won't waver throughout the game. It will be cloudy throughout the contest, but rain isn't totally out of the realm of possibility.
The rain isn't supposed to start until around 5 pm, but the forecast can still change. When it does start raining, it's not supposed to be done until the next morning. Ohio State has to hope that the rain holds off until after this game is played. Wind won't be a massive issue, either.
The wind will be blowing 3-12 mph throughout the contest. It will gust up to 19 mph, but it won't be too signficant to affect the passing or the kicking game. That is advantageous for Ohio State, who can play in any kind of conditions. It looks like their luck will continue for at least one more week.
