The Ohio State football team has only played one road game up to this point, taking down Washington 24-6 in Seattle a couple of weeks ago. It was only their second big test of the year, other than the Texas game, and they passed it with flying colors.
This weekend, they travel to Urbana-Champaign to take on the Fighting Illini. Illinois is the first ranked foe that the Ohio State Buckeyes will be facing on the road. Illinois' only loss was a 63-10 drubbing at the hands of the Hoosiers. Despite that loss, they are still a good team.
As the Buckeyes look to keep their undefeated record intact, they are hoping to have another good day of weather, as they have had for each of their games so far this season. Bad weather might be the only thing that can derail them at this point, so what does the forecast look like?
Weather forecast for the Ohio State football vs. Illinois game
According to the Weather Channel, the forecast is beautiful once again for a Buckeye game. When the game kicks off at noon, it will be 67 degrees and sunny. By the time the game ends, it will be 70 degrees and sunny. There is no chance of precipitation at any point in the game.
The wind won't be much of a factor, either. It will be blowing at 4-8 mph throughout the game, gusting up to 14 mph. That shouldn't have too much of an effect on the passing or kicking games for either team. That means Illinois isn't going to get any outside help.
Ohio State has looked like the best team in the country thus far. Unless the Illini have a secret game plan to somehow go up and down the field on them, that likely will be the case after Saturday afternoon is over, as well.
