The Ohio State football team is coming off its biggest win of the season. Winning at Penn State gave them a lot of confidence. It also allowed them to be put second in the first CFP rankings. They sent a message to the rest of the country that they are still national championship contenders.

They get to follow up that emotional victory with a game against Purdue this weekend. Purdue, in contrast, is one of the worst teams in the country. They, quite simply, stink. Ohio State can go out and play their D-game and still get a win against the Boilermakers.

Even though the Boilermakers stink, Ohio State can still send a message to the rest of the country with how they play. There have been countless letdowns across the country after a team has big wins this year. Ohio State is trying to avoid that and they want to show that they can be dominant against any kind of team.

The Ohio State football team can show how dominant they are against Purdue

It has been a while since the Buckeyes had a dominant win. The last one they had was against Iowa. That was a month ago. The Ohio State Buckeyes have a chance to win by a bunch of points and show that they can beat down a terrible team, even after an emotional victory.

Ohio State will be looking to do just that this weekend. They are favored by almost 40 points in this contest. That's a lot of points to be favored by, no matter what the matchup. Covering that spread would show the rest of the country that the Buckeyes have all of the confidence in the world to beat anyone.

That confidence should scare other teams. Ohio State always had the talent to win it all this year. Now, they might have the coaching and confidence to actually do it.
